Brand Rights Protection is Meta’s program for trademark owners. It lets a brand find and report trademark, copyright, counterfeit and impersonation content across Facebook and Instagram, and its reports are handled faster than Meta’s public report forms. Meta only accepts applications from the brand itself, so your team has to apply. Once you are approved, we work with you to file takedowns on Facebook and Instagram on your behalf. Setting this up takes about 30 minutes of your time, plus 1–2 days for Meta to review your application.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure you have:
  • A way to sign in to Meta Business Suite: either a personal Facebook account, or a Meta Managed Account if your company uses SSO.
  • A business portfolio in Meta Business Suite that you have Full control of. If your company does not have one yet, you can create it when you sign in.
  • A registered trademark for your brand, with its registration number and a scan of the registration document.
  • The authority to apply. The applicant must be an employee or legal representative of the brand.
