# API Usage

> See how many ChainPatrol API calls your organization made, which endpoints and API keys they used, and how many failed, on the API Usage page.

The **API Usage** page shows how your integration uses the ChainPatrol API: how many calls it made, which endpoints it called, which API key each call used, and how many calls failed.

## Open the page

In the [ChainPatrol dashboard](https://app.chainpatrol.io/admin), open **Developer › API Usage** in the sidebar.

Only organization **Owners** and **Admins** can see this page.

## Choose a time range

Pick a range at the top of the page: **Last 3 hours**, **Last 24 hours** (the default), **Last 7 days**, **Last 30 days** or **Last 90 days**. Calls from the current hour are included.

## What the page shows

* **Total calls**, **Successful** and **Errors** for the range. A call is successful when the API answered with a `2xx` status code. Any other status counts as an error.
* **By endpoint**: calls, successes and errors for each endpoint, such as `POST /asset/check`. Click a row to see how many calls returned each status code, for example `401 Unauthorized` or `429 Too Many Requests`.
* **By API key**: calls, successes and errors for each API key, with the key's name, whether it is a live or test key, and the first characters of the key. Keys that have since been revoked are marked **REVOKED**.

If there were no calls in the range, the page says **No API calls in this period**.

## What is counted

Calls made with an API key that belongs to your organization are counted. Calls made without an API key are not.

Endpoints are listed by their route, not the exact URL, so calls to `GET /organization/assets/{assetId}` for different assets are grouped together.

> [!TIP]
>
> A rising **Errors** count with `401 Unauthorized` usually means a key was revoked or mistyped. See [Get Your API Key](https://chainpatrol.com/docs/general/api-key.md) to create a new one.
